ERA

Era is a modern arena for acrobatic and circus performances, opened in the northern suburbs in 1999. It is a 1,638- seat circus theater with a revolving stage, computer- controlled lighting and state- of- the- art acoustics.

Shanghai Era Entertainment Limited is collectively invested and established by Shanghai Media Group, China Arts & Entertainment Group and Shanghai Circus World/Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe for the production and management of ERA- Intersection of Time, the Multimedia Theatrical Spectacular. Shanghai Era Entertainment Limited strives to contribute to the promotion of culture exchanges and turn it into an internationally renowned entertainment brand.

The complex also includes a gigantic animal house with rooms for elephants, tigers, lions, chimps, horses, and pandas. The celebrated Shànghai Acrobatic Troupe stages its 20- act performances here on a regular basis. This has been the venue for the annual Shànghai International Magic Festival and Competition, held in early November.

Era is a complete source of entertainment for it presents amazing acrobats. One is enchanted by the world that is created through the use of multimedia, technology, lighting and sound effects, elaborate costumes, original live music and a lot more.
