Palladio Italian Restaurant

Named after renowned Italian architect Andrea Palladio (1508 - 1580), the elegant restaurant serves quality food.

Under the culinary stewardship of executive chef Edmund Toh, guests are feted with a gastronomic array of cuisines showcasing innovative flavors and seasonal produce. The 160- seat restaurant design is based on Andrea Palladio's work, which formed the basis of 17th and 18th century western architecture. Savor Italian cuisine which offers appetizers of pasta salad with lobster, cherry tomato and avocado; and prawn salad on bell pepper terrine with black olive tapenade and marinated honey mushrooms.

The restaurant has four seating areas and a well- stocked bar. Diners entering the restaurant will be greeted by the restaurant's centerpiece - - a one- of- a- kind silver urn handcrafted by Italian artisans with a family history dating back 500 years. In 2000, just two months after opening, Palladio received The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences "Five Star Diamond Award," setting the stage for the finest Italian dining experience outside Italy.

The restaurant has also been honored with "Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards" "Best of Award of Excellence" (2005, 2004) and "Award of Excellence" (2003, 2002) for the most expansive wine selection in Shanghai.
