Hu and Hu Antiques

The owners, Lin Hu and her sister- in- law Marybelle, are antique dealers. They have three warehouses of finished and unfinished antique furniture of all styles.

Hu and Hu offer custom refinishing of all pieces. The shop sells home accessories such as candles, hand- painted bone China, Southeast Asian tapestries, original pillows and lamps. All the customers are attracted to the place as the commodities are reasonably priced. The no- bargaining policy well suits with the shoppers who are uncomfortable with the practice. Hu & Hu combs the Chinese countryside to bring you these historic treasures - from deep in the mountains of Tibet to the old imperial capital of Beijing and the tens of thousands of villages in between.

The fabulous "Chinese roccoco" tables of Sichuan with their intricate carving and complex lines are a real work of art. The beautiful lacquer work of Zhejiang Provincial furniture and the bright floral paintings found on wood chests from Tibet are worth a sight. Hu & Hu can also customize an older piece of furniture to your modern- day needs: altar tables can become computer desks; clothing cabinets can be transformed into television cabinets.
