Lake Malaren Golf

The construction of Lake Malaren Golf Club began in August 2003. The first stage was to prepare the land for the South lakes golf course. The club house was completed in June 2004 and is one of the finest in the world. The South Lakes 18 holes, which is styled on traditional Scottish courses was open for play from May 2004 and so far has staged many large tournaments drawing golfers from all over Asia.

Shanghai Lake Malaren Golf Club is supported and controlled by Shanghai Golden Luodian Development Co Ltd. Located in the new Luodian North European Town, the club is in a convenient location, served well from various traffic links and a mere 30 minute drive from the Peoples square. They have all the modern facilities.

The club boasts two championship courses both of which are designed by world renowned US Designer Peter Thompson. The club consists of a 5 star club house, Two 18 whole USGA championship courses and five- star hotel. Both courses have a majestic atmosphere of forest ecology and are the only courses in China to be certified with the Convention of International Nature Ecology. The first Membership tournament was organized in November of 2004 with much success.
